On Saturday, my dad suggested out of the blue that we head to Lincoln Park for lunch (perks of living driving distance to the city of Chicago!). It was a warmer winter day--no need for the heavy layers. So I pulled on a sweater, my peacoat and, of course, a fun scarf and was good to go.
I love scarves. They can make an outfit feel so much more put together. They add that extra layer of warmth on the coldest of days. And there are so many different styles and colors of scarves that the variety is endless.
When Carly from The College Prepster wrote a post wearing this navy and cream colored gingham scarf in the fall, I immediately added it to my Christmas list. It looked so soft and comfortable and if Carly loved it, I was sure I would too! When I opened it on Christmas morning, I was one happy girl.
Since Christmas, it's made quite a few appearances on my Instagram account and I have received comments on every picture it was included in. There is no denying it that the colors and print are so cute. While it is no longer available at the Gap, you can still find many similar and fun scarves there, plus lots are on sale.
When you wear the same scarf as Carly from TCP, you have to do the same pose when taking blog pictures, right?!
xoxo,
Kathleen
